Guyana discovers large offshore oil field in area claimed by Venezuela

The Government of Guyana announced the discovery of a large high-quality oil field in the Ranger-1 well of the Stabroek block, some 120 miles (193 km) located in the maritime zone in dispute with Venezuela.
