Reports of crimes organized in Venezuela rose by 85.2% in 2017 compared to 2016 reported today the civil association Paz Activa, in a text in which the NGO says it analyzed 1,335 cases of organized crime.

"With a monthly average of computerized reports equal to 111, the hemerographic analysis (...) showed a total of 1,335 cases of organized crime. This number of reports exceeded the number of cases registered during the previous year (2016) -726 cases- "which" represents an interannual increase of 85.2%, "Paz Activa said in her report.

The data for the study were obtained after the "daily review" of more than 50 newspapers and national and regional "print and digital" circulation information media between January 1 and December 31, 2017.

Among the crimes classified as organized crime the "murder by commission or hired assassination" was the most reviewed by the media "after accumulating, with 262 records computed during the year, 19.6% of the cases analyzed," Paz Activa said.

Crimes commited by colectivos (Maduro's "redshirts&quot are not included in these analysis, as they are not crimes to extort, kidnap or murder in the name of Chavismo. Ergo, they are not reported in any official way
