Diosdado Cabello: No one is suffering in Venezuela

Jennifer Suárez / May 17, 2018.- The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, said on Thursday that the international media "are not telling the truth of what is happening in Venezuela."

"We do not need to convince anyone, the European Union and the United States have attacked us for a long time. The international media can not express their opinion. Nobody is suffering here, nor is he obliged to come to the marches" he said after the closing of President Nicolás Maduro's campaign.

A journalist from the newspaper BBC Mundo said that during the march, several of the people who had been there had told her that "in Venezuela there is a tragedy", however Cabello expressed the contrary.

"The media where you work generates a matrix saying that Venezuela is a disaster and it is not true. We do not waste time talking to a newspaper that has an editorial line, but we also have one: we will win," he said.

He stressed that the national government will not fall into "no blackmail." "The problems of the people are caused by governments like the European Union," he said.

He added: "Here the children are given free computers. In what other country do they deliver as many benefits as here?"

"This is a solid democracy, which can not be used with blackmail, which is something the world does not understand," he said.
