Folha launches tool--Bolsonômetro--that gathers statements of the president checked and contextualized

President Jair Bolsonaro (PSL) makes at least one false or inaccurate statement every four days—According to the Bolsonometer. The Bolsonometer, which launched on Wednesday (6), is a tool that gathers statements of the president checked and contextualized by Folha.

To begin, Folha checked 86 statements since January 1. Bolsonaro made the statements on social media posts, in live broadcasts, interviews, and speeches.

Each statement considered false or inaccurate was contextualized and, based on Folha reports and statistics, was classified into one of these two groups.

The tool, which will be updated continuously, also shows a graph of Bolsonaro's daily and monthly accumulated false and inaccurate statements.
