WASHINGTON — The Trump administration, confident that the Chinese government will follow through on its agreement to buy more U.S. agriculture, plans to shutter its bailout program for farmers hurt by tariffs.

But allegations of unfairness and other criticisms continue to dog the $28 billion initiative, which President Donald Trump created to ease the economic hardship on rural America, which constitutes a large portion of his political base.

What was meant to be a financial lifeline for struggling farmers has been widely derided by critics as a corporate bailout for big agriculture companies and those who live in metropolitan areas but own farms in rural America. The program has also been attacked for providing financial support to U.S. subsidiaries of foreign agriculture companies that operate in the United States.

For months, a bipartisan group of lawmakers has been pressing the Trump administration to explain payments to a Brazilian-owned company with a troubled past.

What is Rubio (I choose him in particular b/c the used his photo, but same for any of them) *substantively* going to do about this? Not a damn thing.

A bunch of fake outrage from the Repukes, but no consequences for the Trump admin that mean anything.

give Swift Eckridge a few Billion and the Batista Brothers give a billion dollars back to the RNC who gives it to Trump crime family.

Oh btw,the Red Army got a major chunk also via Smithfield Foods. Purdue Farms received a nice bonus as well as Wells Cargo Sand and Gravel of Las Vegas whom owns Sunderland Farms.

Lets add all those Hedge Funds who own Farm Land that is cash rented or Operated as a LLC. Think about it,we have China,Brazil, and Wall Street stealing the bulk of 28 billion via the Grassley Rule Writing committee. Story back home was,Grassley Farms cashed to the tune of 250k.
