The Grayzone
A Michael Bloomberg surrogate pumping up the billionaires 2020 campaign for president helped to elect Brazils extreme-right leader, Jair Bolsonaro, an open supporter of military dictatorship who frequently threatens violence against his political opponents.
Arick Wierson is a public relations strategist who served as a political aide and the top communications adviser to Bloomberg when the Republican media mogul was mayor of New York City.
Wierson worked with Bloomberg for nearly nine years, he noted, first as an aide in his 2001 political campaign, and later as his chief media advisor at City Hall. Wierson is so close with the billionaire he sarcastically refers to himself in his Twitter profile as a Former Media Hack for Mayor Bloomberg.
In 2018, Wierson joined Bolsonaros presidential campaign, devoting himself to softening the image of the Brazilian demagogue who pledged to imprison or exile leftist rivals and said in a newspaper interview that a congresswoman was not worth raping; she is very ugly.

(25,509 posts)I wouldn't believe anything he says without outside confirmation.
"Although Wierson no longer appears to have an official position in the Bloomberg campaign"
And hasn't since at least 2010, before he went to work for Bolsonaro.
And, there we have it. Another Ben Norton pipe-dream non-story, just like the ol' days at Salon.
Not a Bloomberg fan in the least, but Norton is full of shit here, as usual.

(160,656 posts)No doubt whatsoever any relationship at all between fascist politicians and the human race is strictly peripheral.
The commercial made from the dirtbag invading a bus of citizens trying just to get home intact was exactly as crude and low down as we have learned to expect from fascist phony bible-wagging racist monsters. He has a captive audience, doesn't he? Clearly this was geared to the same human wrecks, the class of people who love professional wrestling, talkin' about their guns, etc. right here in the U.S.
The sheer insult and aggression of his invasion would appeal to people with low impulse control, the ones who vote for the cheapest, dirtiest politicians among us, the ones who bear no respect for the human race, and never will.
The presumptuousness, total disrespect, and ignorance in that commercial would have made it a total success with his target base.
Maria do Rosario, receiving her daily dose of hatred from Bolsonaro. He only speaks at women who can read.
So glad you considered thinking about the information. It makes all the difference in the world where those who refuse still rule.

City is enormous, from these photos:
Landscape is stunning, wow, wow.
Too many human beings are centuries and centuries behind the level of sophistication of their technology. They remain primitive, emotionally, seeing others through a totally immature, subjective point of view. Bolsonaro and Trump are both afraid of women.l
