Governors are considering suing the government if President Jair Bolsonaro fulfills his will and signs a decree to allow sectors of the economy back to work.

Bolsonaro said on Sunday (29) that he is thinking about allowing people in need to return to work.

State officials said they were indignant at the attitude of the president, who this Sunday contradicted the guidance of the Ministry of Health and circulated in Brasília greeting supporters.

The assessment made in a WhatsApp group with governors from the Northeast is that the president continues to "inflate" the fire instead of sitting at the table and leading the country in the face of the challenges of the pandemic.

"He has to stop making politics, stop making intrigue, and assume the role that the majority of the people gave him as president of the Republic. It is up to the federal government to lead this process and not continue to feed the crisis," said the governor of Bahia, Rui Costa (PT).
