Brazil's police arrest robbers of 50,000 masks in Sao Paulo
Brasilia, Apr 8 (Prensa Latina) The Civil Police of Sao Paulo arrested a group that stole 50,000 protective face masks that would go to a private State hospital, in the midst of the current fight against the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Brazil.
The R7 news website indicates that police officers are operating this Wednesday in the second phase of Operation Salvis Salutem.
At least 42 troops carry out four arrest warrants and 14 search and confiscation orders for houses and businesses in the capital of the territorial division.
The search addresses are the suspects' houses, but also the businesses that bought the cargo. The goal is to verify that merchants knew the criminal scheme of diverting goods from the hospital.
