At first, President Jair Bolsonaro called the novel Coronavirus the “little flu,” but now it kills more than one Brazilian every minute.

With a balance of 1,473 deaths by Covid-19 registered in the country in the last 24 hours, Brazil crossed the 34,000 deaths mark due to the new Coronavirus and surpassed Italy, the country that first symbolized the pandemic tragedy, and now it ranks as the third country with the most deaths in the world.

Only the United States, with 107 thousand deaths, and the United Kingdom, with almost 40 thousand, are ahead.

There were 30,925 new cases of Coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours alone, the Ministry of Health reported.
