Bolsonaro When Called A Genocidist and Fascist in Congress
PSOL protested against the President, who participated in the opening of legislative work in 2021

President Jair Bolsonaro (no party) was confronted by members of the PSOL party this Wednesday afternoon (3), when he participated in the opening ceremony of Brazil's Congress.
PSOL parliamentarians called him "fascist" and "genocidist" while wearing T-shirts and carrying banners that said "Down with the Genocidist" and "Impeachment Now." In response, Bolsonaro's allies shouted: "Mito" (myth)– a popular nickname for the president.

Before he read his speech, Bolsonaro said he was a federal congressman for 28 years and that, despite the differences, he never disrespected government authorities. In reference to the next presidential election, Bolsonaro said in an ironic tone: "We will meet in 2022."
"We understand that the presence of the President in this House cannot stand without challenge. We must open an impeachment process against him, and vaccination must be guaranteed for everyone urgently. What is going on is a genocide. Bolsonaro has direct responsibility for the deaths resulting from the pandemic," said Talíria Petrone (PSOL-RJ), leader of the party bench.
