Poll shows stability in presidential race
Jun.24.2022 12:44PM
In a stable scenario of the presidential race, a new survey by Datafolha points out that Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) has a 19 percentage point advantage over Jair Bolsonaro (PL), marking 47% of voting intentions in the first round, compared to 28% for his rival.
In third is Ciro Gomes (PDT), with 8%. Ten other candidates tangle up in the pack from 2% down. Among them is Senator Simone Tebet (MDB), the name promoted by the so-called third way. She appears with 1%.
The institute surveyed 2,556 voters on Wednesday (22) and Thursday (23). The margin of error is plus or minus two percentage points.

In the valid votes (white and null excluded), Lula registers 53%, and Bolsonaro, 32%. To win in the first round, the candidate must add 50% of the valid votes plus one. In an eventual second round, the PT would win by 57% to 34%.
