Datafolha: Lula Has 52% of Valid Votes and Could Win in The 1st Round

The former president's position is within the margin, but it will serve to seek a vote from the voter of Ciro

Former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) has 52% of valid votes in the dispute for the succession of Jair Bolsonaro (PL), which would make him win the election that will take place on October 2 in the first round if the election was today.

This is what the Datafolha survey carried out this Wednesday (27) and Thursday (28) indicates, with 2,556 voters in 183 cities. She was hired by Folha and is registered under the number BR-01192/2022 at the Superior Electoral Court. Lula's position is similar to that recorded in the institute's previous survey.

As the poll's margin of error is plus or minus two percentage points, Lula can have either 50%, needing an extra vote to settle the bill in the first round, or a more comfortable 54%. Bolsonaro registers 32% of the valid ones, but here the attention goes to the 9% earned by Ciro Gomes (PDT), who rejected any possibility of dialogue in the left field to try to establish himself as an option for those who do not want neither the PT nor the the president on the Plateau.
