According to the Chief Justice, until this Monday (9) there were about 1,500 prisoners. The group who camped for weeks in front of the Army headquarters was removed and taken in dozens of buses for screening in a gymnasium of the National Academy of the Federal Police.

Those who have a confirmed link to the vandalism will be indicted and sent to Papuda prison.

Moraes also decided to remove the governor of the Federal District, Ibaneis Rocha, accused of leniency.

The heads of the three Powers manifested unity in the face of the attacks. They released a joint note of repudiation and met with governors at the Presidential Palace. President Lula declared that "they [vandals] want a coup, and there won't be a coup".
