Shocking footage showed the moment a novice pilot lost control of their paraglider and nearly killed a pedestrian walking along the beach in Brazil.
Aliny Nazar, 44, was walking with her husband at Sãi Conrado beach in Rio de Janeiro Sunday when the person manning the aircraft crashed into her from behind, a cellphone video showed. The paraglider nearly missed hitting Nazar's spouse before she was knocked to the ground.
She could be seen attempting to get back on her feet and remained on the ground as her husband tended to her.

Nazar was rushed to Copa D'Or Hospital and had surgery on her right shoulder because her clavicle had come out of place, Brazilian news outlet G1 reported. She also suffered an abrasion on the head and required 10 stitches to close the wound.

Bruno Menescal, the São Conrado Flight Safety Operational Director, told Brazilian newspaper O'Dia that the man (pictured) was just learning how to pilot the paraglider and made multiple mistakes in attempting to land the aircraft before he slammed into a woman at a beach in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday
