is a big factor in the stability of the currency. Seeing that continue would be very important to the sorts of people who are able to send the US into war. Those same folks wouldn't want an 'Eastern' trading bloc that exclude them.

All that said, I think what's happening in Syria and the Middle East has many moving parts, not just the denomination of oil trading.

Also, do you have any links to share on these non-dollar denominated oil trades?

Gold than to the value of the dollar.

The BRIC nations no longer need to see the dollar as being that relevant.
