Alert. ATM cash-out-scam
Yesterday I received an email notice from my credit union warning about a cyber attack a ATMs.

The FBI issued a warning to all financial institutions, that Cyber Criminals are planning to conduct a global Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cash-out scheme in coming days that could lead to a high amount of fraudulent ATM withdrawal activity. The credit union and our card processor have escalated our monitoring, but it is important for you to diligently monitor your own account activity over the next few weeks.
Such a scheme was recently carried out with over 12,000 transactions being completed in Canada, Hong Kong and India, with the criminals stealing approximately $13.5 million. We ask you to monitor your account activity.....
Please protect yourself and keep an I on your accounts. Some banks and credit unions offer apps to monitor accounts easy.
