2018 was the first year since 2006 with no U.S. Bank Failures

Before the housing/banking crisis of 2008, FDIC had an insurance fund of $52.4 Billion. This dropped to a low of -$20.86 Billion in 2009. It has since rebounded and now sits at $92.75 Billion (as of the 2017 Annual Report).
