Want to Be Happy? Join a union
http://op-talk.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/01/13/want-to-be-happy-join-a-unionFewer and fewer Americans belong to a union. Membership is down to a historic low of 11.2 percent of the work force, and only 6.7 percent of workers in the private sector.
And if the nations confidence in the institution is any measure, not many people are mourning its diminishment. According to a Gallup poll, organized labor inspires less confidence than banks.
But a recent study may give some workers reason to reconsider. For those who belong to a union, membership seems to bring a benefit that perhaps surpasses better wages or generous health insurance: higher life satisfaction.

Video game artists. The game industry is the worst abuser of talent. 50 60 hour weeks w/ no overtime. Can we say white collar slavery?

vfx people are starting to organize under IATSE. http://vfxunion.info I see games listed. I agree you guys are very exploited. I'm an art teacher and I'm always a little leery of recommending a career in digital entertainment arts to students.
