Millard teachers will receive pay raises of 1.5 percent on average next year and 3.3 percent in 2013-14 under a contract approved by the school board Monday night.

The contract between the district and the Millard Education Association also raises stipends for certain coaches and extra-duty positions.

And the contract continues the voluntary wellness program in which participating employees get a break on their health insurance premiums.

The Millard Public Schools are the state's third-largest school district with more than 22,400 students and nearly 1,700 teachers.
