Working People of the AFL-CIO Endorse Hillary Clinton for President

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said:

Sen. Bernie Sanders has brought an important voice to this election and has elevated critical issues and strengthened the foundation of our movement. His impact on American politics cannot be overstated.

2. Better title: Union Leaders Endorse Hillary Clinton

I am a member of an AFL-CIO union. No one asked me who we should endorse. I received no phone calls, no questionnaires, no nothing. So it's a stretch to say 'Working People' were involved. We weren't.

Don't get me wrong. The endorsement makes perfect sense at this point in time. What bothers me greatly is that the rank-and-file members are never consulted in these matters.
