Interesting article on Yahoo Finance

“Something ‘Dangerous’ is happening beneath the surface of the market selloff”

This is but one opinion, so prudence demands this being taken with a grain of salt, but it is an interesting analysis

1. The market was overdue for a correction

And I’m sure many other factors are in play as well.

2. As was mentioned somewhere...

The second largest economy in the world has been essentially idled.

5. And the 3rd biggest economy (Japan) is headed that way. All schools closed from now

through March. Which makes their parents less productive as they scramble to try to provide for childcare.

Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe ordered all schools in the country closed through March, making it the second country to shutter schools nationwide. Cases have been confirmed in at least 47 countries so far.

At a quick read I didn't see what the first country to shut schools nationwide is. S. Korea?

6. I was just in the car a bit ago and heard that.

Not good, no doubt.

Just looked and the DJIA has climbed back quite a bit from its earlier low.

I'm not going to make any predictions on how far or long this selloff will go, but I sure as hell want to see Tesla fall back so I can buy it again!!

7. I just looked at the article you posted and it didn't mention S. Korea

It did say the Saudi's have suspended pilgrimages to Mecca.

3. I always get the feeling those analysts are

pushing buy if they are selling and sell if they are buying.

8. I have heard the word recession mentioned

And that the market tanking is now the same as in 2008 when we had "only" great depression.
