Decided to join the 21st Century. Maybe

Ordered a "smartphone" - actually an Apple - from Consumer Cellular. With 20th Century payment: paper invoice monthly. for now.

Immediately I received an email from CC telling me to call them to "complete the order."

And, immediately, got a phone call with the same purpose.

Not me. I do not reply to unsolicited emails or phone calls. So I did call them just to confirm all the info.

And now will wait. And see.

BTW, yesterday evening, for more than an hour, every 10 minutes we got a call from "Apple Support, problems with our iCould account." Except, we don't use iCloud.

Spams are getting worse and worse.

But spouse is going to have a major heart surgery, don't know when yet, meeting the surgeon next week. And with no family or friend around, only friendly neighbors, I need to have a better way to communicate. Texting on my flip phone takes forever if at all.
