Legendary Jeremy Grantham on Consuelo Mack Wealth Track this week and next

Grantham's interview early 2021

Grantham's bio on Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Grantham

"He was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2016 Birthday Honours for philanthropic service to climate change research.[28]"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Grantham#Philanthropy

"Philanthropy

Grantham, together with his wife Hannelore, established the Grantham Foundation For the Protection of the Environment in 1997. Substantial commitments have been made to Imperial College London, the London School of Economics and the University of Sheffield, to establish the Grantham Institute - Climate Change and Environment, the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and the Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures, respectively, which will enable the institutions to build on their extensive expertise in climate change research.[23] The 2011 tax filing for the Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment shows the Foundation donated $1 million to both the Sierra Club and to Nature Conservancy, and $2 million to the Environmental Defense Fund that year. The Foundation has also provided support to Greenpeace, the WWF, Rare and the Smithsonian. From 2006 to 2012, The Grantham Foundation for Protection of the Environment funded a $75,000 prize for environmental reporting. The prize was administered by the University of Rhode Island's Metcalf Institute for Marine & Environmental Reporting.[6][24]

In August 2019, he dedicated 98% (approximately $1 billion) of his personal wealth to fight climate change. Grantham believes that investing in green technologies, is a profitable investment on the long run, claiming that decarbonizing the economy will be an investing bonanza for those who know it’s coming.[25] "

(bold emphasis is my highlighting)

Grantham runs his GMO investment company from Boston. A self-made billionaire from his 1970s Harvard MBA. Serious investors may not agree with him or follow his advice, but when he gives his rare interviews, it attracts eyeballs worldwide.

This is not investment advice, he's been described as a perma-bear at times, and there are many articles online about his investing ideas. But he does give the broadest outlook of the economy with an historical and forward looking perspective.

He called the dot.com crash three years ahead of time in 1997, he called the housing crash in 2006 at the peak of the housing bubble, he called the stock market bottom to-the-day in 2009. He's calling for the stock market to sell-off and go sideways for years.

The most interesting stat he mentioned was that the median income to average house price hasn't been this high since 2006, at the peak of the housing bubble.

Not for Grantham's part, but from the way she presented her questions, nodding blindly, and treating the guy like his climate change ideas are a bit looney. Also they didn't host it directly from their site, they just provided a link to it on YouTube.

Consuelo has far too many looney right wing guests, economists of the radical right type, and showcases them as mainstream, just ordinary people who want to make money.

But here is the second part of the interview. Grantham seems a bit miffed at points.
