Milken is ready to milk us in WA State

Bill Gates and the Waltons have had their way with Washington State….unless there is a legal challenge regarding the state’s constitutional demand for oversight by OSPI. Stay tuned.

The passage of I 1240 due to the financial backing of Stand for Children, Bill Gates, the Waltons and few other of the 1 percenters with the aid of the League of Education Voters, has opened the floodgates for the greedy.

Soon after the elections, the mega-corporation K12 convened a conference call with investors to boast about the opening of new markets for virtual charters in Georgia and Washington State....

(K12 = founded by michael milken the junk bond king, who also helped fund bain deals...)

there's some talk about lawsuits & constitutional challenges (charters would seem to violate some of the language in wa state's constituion) -- bribes from gates should help quell that silly talk.

K-12 tried to get on the ballot here too, but failed to qualify for 2012. They'll probably make another try in 2014. Milken is just a shakedown artist, it is insane he keeps getting away with it.

2. k12 actually had 2 virtual charters in wa before this initiative. we have e-schools

already. i was hoping we could stop the bricks & mortar. our county voted 'no' which is some comfort. it's gotten so winger here as jobs left i was afraid we'd go 'yes'.

not that the county vote matters, but it made me feel better. and the state vote was very close.

hopefully there will be some challenges, which will slow things down at least.

anywhere who shouldn't be somewhere in a penitentiary. Asking such criminals to reform public education is like asking the mob to reform Sunday School.

6. Nothing New with Milken

Isn't Michael Milken the same guy who funded cancer research because he was diagnosed with it and wanted to find a solution to his medical problem. He is a classically self-centered ego-maniac. It is unfathomable to me that a convicted felon would, after being barred from the financial services industry and serving time in prison, for having destroyed so many people's lives, be allowed to keep nearly all of his money for his continued self-indulgence. Obviously, as relentless as he once was to bring about other people's destruction hasn't been mitigated with the lapse of time.
