This is how I found out about my particular job situation:

http://www.battlecreekenquirer.com/article/20130528/NEWS01/305280030/Albion-lays-off-high-school-staff

Whenever anyone says that teachers are the problem, I'm going to think of how the administration acted in this situation, not communicating clearly with us at all before the meeting, closed door meetings, and all that craziness and say that it's not us.

No, we won't have a high school next year. I am looking for a job. It's really bad.

unless they want to cram 60 kids into each classroom.

Funny how it's majority black and Hispano schools that turn out to be "financially unsustainable," isn't it?

You want to make any high school more sustainable, kill off intramural sports.

indeed.

and i imagine the combination will be destabilizing, too.

for various reasons i'd expect it to be a boon to the charter school industry.

what a shocker.

You know it's bad when the governor has to tell the others in the MI GOP to back off and that they've gone too far.

Fracking MI GOP. They're ruining our great state.
