Speaking of broken things, apparently we've broken the North Pole:
Something is totally off. The Arctic is super-hot, even as a vast area of cold polar air has been displaced over Siberia...Its about 20C [36 degrees Fahrenheit] warmer than normal over most of the Arctic Ocean, along with cold anomalies of about the same magnitude over north-central Asia, Jennifer Francis, an Arctic specialist at Rutgers University, said by email Wednesday.

Most people are wildly underestimating what Trumps win will mean for the environment

Federal climate policy will all but disappear; participation in international environmental or climate treaties will end; pollution regulations will be reversed, frozen in place, or not enforced; clean energy research, development, and deployment assistance will decline; protections for sensitive areas and ecosystems will be lifted; federal leasing of fossil fuels will expand and accelerate; new Supreme Court appointees will crack down on EPA discretion.

He just doesn't care. He knows that there is money to be made regardless of the harm, and that is what he supports.
