Freshman Republican congressman reveals bill to abolish the EPA

The bill was introduced into the House on Feb. 3, but the text was not available until recently. It contains little more than an intention and a deadline:

A BILL
To terminate the Environmental Protection Agency.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. TERMINATION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY.

The Environmental Protection Agency shall terminate on December 31, 2018.
