In the 1st Quarter Ireland Produced almost 50% of elect from Wind

4 new wind farms were brought on line. Wind produced more electricity for 1st time than Natgas.

Back in the good-ol-US of A, we continue to fight wind farms in Delaware ("it will spoil our view" some say) and elsewhere and poison our air and water searching for fossil fuels.

There was talk of Texas starting the process. Off shore to balance the West Texas fields.

Interesting that the only wind farm currently operating - Block Island - was just 5 turbines. But the project justified the power cable to connect Block Island with the mainland and allowed them to close the oil fired power plant on the island (IIRC).
