Arctic Sea Ice extent at lowest level for date in the the satellite record

It has now passes 2012 and total extent is over 3 million sq km lower than average for the date.

Temperature above the 80th parallel has been 8c to 10c above average for the last 3-4 weeks and above average since the summer.
