Interesting point of view 'Tell Joe Biden:

Reject Heidi Heitkamp for the Next Secretary of Agriculture.

The transition from an industrial, polluting, wasteful agricultural system to one that supports the health of our soil, our crops and our people requires committed farmers—and committed leaders.

If, like us, you dream of an organic, regenerative food system led by independent family farmers, then reports that Joe Biden is considering former North Dakota Senator Heidi Heitkamp as a potential Secretary of Agriculture should be a real cause for concern.

And a real steward of the environment.

I am a organic plant breeder and farmer and I am not a fan of that organization. It does not represent me or many of the founders of the organic ag movements. They frequently distort things in order to get revenue flowing towards them.

With Heidi Heitcamp. She is sensible and brave and brilliant.

Everything I would want in a Sec of Ag.

This guy who runs that organization is a very destructive figure, in my experience. He is a libertarian type pushing odd agendas as though he alone is the gatekeeper of what Organic is.

The rest of the whole real organic growers keep going and expanding and making a difference by the way we farm and the way we inspire others to adapt some of the practices to be more generative rather than extractive.

Just my perspective as a self described organic fanatic since the ‘70’s . But I actually farm and this guy who runs this organization lived on grants and donations often based on hyperbolic rhetoric. That in my opinion often damages the reputations of real organic producers.
