Saudi Arabia to join international forum on climate change

Saudi Arabia will join an international forum to address global warming and cut the country's emissions, according to its state news agency, Reuters reported.

The middle eastern country, the globe's largest producer of crude oil, will join the "Net Zero Producers Forum" made up of the United States, Norway, Canada and Qatar to discuss the ways in which they can uphold the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, according to the wire service.

Each of the countries are some of the world's most prominent oil and gas producers.

The forum's goal is to get each country to obtain net zero carbon emissions.
