Biden's Clean Energy Goals Are Insanely Popular - Ring of Fire

The latest polling shows that huge majorities of Americans support the Biden administration's goal of achieving 100% renewable energy by 2035 - and that includes a majority of people in most red states. It turns out that clean energy, environmental protection, and reducing emissions are actually supported by both parties pretty much all over the country, except for in Washington, D.C. If fossil fuel money was removed from the equation, we wouldn't have anything standing in the way of our climate goals. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

This kind of talk just cracks me up.

Like, if it weren't for fossil fuel companies paying off politicians we'd have a renewable energy panacea in no time flat.

That's freaking nonsense. There's way, way, way more to it than that, much of it being simple physics, chemistry, and availability of resources ... but more than anything, the problem is the sunk costs wrt the existing infrastructure all over the globe.

No offense Rhi

But the message that I took away from this was the fact that the majority of Americans, despite political persuasion, are in favor of renewable energy. I thought that was hopeful news. No offense taken.
