The overall trend seems to be accelerating upwards, but I was unaware that it went up and down during the year..?

(64,840 posts)4. Seasonal fluctuation - most of the landmass in the northern hemisphere means most vegetation as well
So, when deciduous trees drop or leaf out, it's enough to push the annual cycle up and down.
