Their mission in life seems to be to a) destroy Amtrak and b) insure that the US remains stuck in the mid 1950s in terms of high speed rail.

As for trees, we should remember that Ronald Reagan himself declared them a major cause of air pollution. And if St. Ronnie said it, it must be true.

Not that Republicans today are opposed to air pollution.

Republicans are knee-jerk reactionaries.

They hate what liberals love and vice versa.

Their brainwashing has been very effective.
