Flash-flood watch canceled for Mt. Shasta mudflow

The weather service's Medford, Oregon, office, reported Saturday that a glacier on Mt. Shasta broke, releasing a high volume of volcanic mud, rocks and water. The glacier-induced mudflow flooded Mud and Pilgrim creeks just north of Highway 89 where the water was dammed up Saturday night, the weather service said. - Redding.com

It's not everyday you hear about a Glacier induced flood. Must be warm up there. Good news though, it'll be happening less and less often as the glaciers eventually disappear.
