Horseslaughter - The Voice of the people ignored and it's NOT just an animal rights issue

How many times will the people be ignored? Our wild horses are rounded-up and taken off of public land in cruel inhumane manners even though the people want humane treatment of America's beloved wild horses and burros, now taxpayers must pay to slaughter and export horse meat for people in Europe! Polls show that the American people do NOT support horse slaughter and yet we have sit back and watch horses brutally murdered so that a few wealthy individuals can collect $26 to $30 a pound on the exported meat, it's outrageous! Please help circulate this article and the cause in general, our horses need help!!

2. Hope for the passage of the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act

It is indeed and I hope that somehow we will get The American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act passed. I can only pray that more Americans will become informed on how brutal the slaughter practices are and will understand that this issue not only affects our horses but the average American citizen as well.

The former slaughter house in Texas proved to be a blight on the working community as no business wanted to be located near such a facility and the town itself lost money due to it. On a purely political level, why would we want to dump our money into an effort we don't agree with in order to support an economically unsound venture in the midst of an economic downturn?

On a humane standpoint, there is absolutely no reason to support this whatsoever.
