I tried it once, using a microwave recipe and an egg cooker.

If I could find the right size of circular muffin pan to fit in my bamboo steamer, it would be a lot easier.

If you have a good, deep pot..easy; if not, not so much. Watch out for the pre-packaged idli mixes. Most of them have weird oils and preservatives. Now, if only i could get someone to make the sambar....

Idlis are a sort of a superfood-low cal and very healthy. I can't stand 'em though . Prefer the greasier dosa
