Petition Target: Starr County District Attorney Gocha Allen Ramirez
Cane, a 2-year-old German Shepherd, was found in La Grulla, Texas in a shocking state of neglect - emaciated, dehydrated and chained, with a large open wound on his face that revealed bone and crawling with maggots and flies, according to local news.
Although he was rescued from the neglectful situation, he had likely been suffering for quite some time and was also battling liver and kidney problems.
Less than a month later, Cane collapsed during his evening walk and died.
