Crosstalk -Europe Terrorized (ft. Pepe Escobar)

A very cool-headed assessment on the Brussels attack. Check it out.

By and large, I agree with all of the speakers' general points, having traveled to Belgium before (TBH, it was a bit of shock to see the disparity between Brussels and some of the most affluent, well-governed cities in Germany).

It covers some very enduring problems that EU is facing in terms of governance, the disparate needs between nation-states in the South, West, and the East. And of course, some of the challenges when it comes to its entanglement with US foreign policy, the issue of collective security, and reliance on the NATO, which, in essence, is an expansionist Cold War institution with its bureaucratic inertia adding problems to Europe's long-term security -be they the problems on the eastern border with Ukraine crisis, migrant crisis involving Syria and Turkey, and terrorism.

"Democracy Deficit"..What Can be Done? Pepe as usual had good input and the rest were pointing out confusing issues on the Brussels Terrorist Attacks that we, here in the USA, never hear in the USA.
