G7 foreign ministers' meeting on Ukraine ends, warning of costs to Russia
The foreign ministers of the Group of Seven countries have ended an emergency meeting in Germany over Ukraine.
With tensions mounting over the situation in Ukraine, the ministers held talks for about one-and-a-half hours in the southern city of Munich on Saturday.
After the meeting, Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa told reporters online that the ministers shared serious concerns over the increased level of Russian military forces near the Ukrainian border.
Hayashi said the ministers agreed to urge Moscow to carry out the military withdrawal from the border it had announced and commit itself to easing tensions.
