Russia accuses Ukrainian forces of shelling Russian village

Russia accused Ukraine’s military of shelling a Russian village on Thursday, alleging seven people were wounded in the attack, including one young child.

The Investigative Committee of Russia claimed that at least six strikes had been carried out in the Russian village of Klimovo, which is located near the borders of Belarus and Ukraine, by two combat helicopters flying at low altitude.

In addition to the seven people injured, at least six residential buildings were hit, Russia claimed. The committee said it opened a criminal case as a result of the alleged shelling.

“The investigation established that persons from among the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine entered into a criminal conspiracy among themselves in order to influence the adoption by the authorities of the Russian Federation of a decision to terminate the special military operation,” the Investigative Committee said, referring to Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

It's terrible anytime there are civilian casualties. However there's clear evidence of rape and execution type killings of civilians by Russian soldiers.

7. Putin claims Ukraine is really a part of Russia - not a sovereign country.

The UN has verified 1,964 civilian deaths and 2,613 injured since February 24th. (There are many more casualties that have not been confirmed yet.)

The Investigative Committee of Russia needs to open many, many more investigations.

What is amazing is such a statement. If the shelling is true, they are saying that, although they are engaging in WARfare against Ukraine, if Ukraine defends itself, it is a criminal conspiracy. It is a criminal conspiracy to terminate the special military operation.

These people are loony toons. They are mind boggling illiterate and out of touch with what they are doing. I suppose this statement is for their own public, who can hardly be expected not to notice the results of the strike.

I, also, am sorry that any civilians got hurt. But, you people better step up and demand an end to YOUR WAR.

I don't know if this is true. But, good for Ukraine! No one ever said that the WAR would be limited to the borders of Ukraine. If you, Russia, make the mistake of engaging NATO, you will discover that there are no borders that will keep you safe.

14. IF it is true a Russian town was hit

It was probably by inaccurate fire by their own forces.

Ukrainian military action has been exclusively directed at invading Russian forces, not civilian targets, and certainly not at civilian targets on Russian soil.
