French Senate report denounces sexual abuse in porn industry

By SYLVIE CORBET and JADE LE DELEY
September 28, 2022

PARIS (AP) — Sexual and physical abuse in France’s porn industry is “systemic” and lawmakers should better regulate the production of videos and protect children who are “heavily exposed” to the content, according to a French Senate report released Wednesday.

The report, titled “Hell Behind the Scenes,” was the first prepared for the French parliament to focus on the porn industry, which the authors described as “predatory.”

During six months of research, the Senate’s delegation for women’s rights and gender equality heard from over 50 people, including some involved in the industry, women’s rights activists and victims.

“Both the actual volume of pornographic contents accessible to all and their very nature have contributed to make violent sexual acts against women banal,” the report’s authors wrote.

Full and utter BS that youd expect from far-rite extremist lands, not France where so much of our modern views on sxuality was born and here is distorted over a cheap attempt at moral panic on pair with the ones from decades begone and based off warped info down to straigh up made up one

the whole report is based off literal misinfo with no proper researched basis and long surpassed prejudices, and made up fake data out of thin air, whose conclusion includes a mass ban of subjects (and even talking about it) that by itself is revolting to any democracy

the single "research" they used was an old debunked one that counted video titles in one specific site as implying violence based off either their title wording or other equally vague conotations, so for example where they counted terms like "drilled" in p. titles to claim those proved the videos were "non-consensual violence" to create a faked bloated number which is clearly a showing of lack of research apropriate metodology that even a student should have, purposefully cherrypicked despite it in order to sell a teocractic-making, extremist and zealot-friendly view and actions that intend to ban sxual expression as a whole based off false conclusions, accusations, and a puritan warped view of the world that denies basic freedoms conquered across last century, with clear implications in how such actions could be misused to other forms of censorship against Free Speech and progressive conquests not just on sxuality but on anything that would deny a Karen the censorship and control they look for.

Religious groups and other types have been lobbying for that for years. The very fact the news has such deveiving title despite them making claims such as "criminalizing non negative comments about it" (which will be a trojan horse against free speech in general)and absurd claims like making up fake percentages with no source already shows the malice and bad faith involved here, so fringe sources and those based off moral panic, NOT reality and not on pair with modern free speech.

Look up mikestabile on twt, they had a thread explaining this mess, and dont fall for moralist and purtan panics based off exploiting peoples fears to censor their speech.
