Russia is so happy with how the war in Ukraine is going that they openly muse about how they would prefer fighting other countries right now.

- Moldova is a small, poor, defenceless country, a part of which is occupied by russian "peacekeepers" protecting secessionist rebels in the breakaway Transnistria-region. The notion that anybody in Moldova would dislike Russia for occupying their country and for attacking their neighbor Ukraine is of course ridiculous, which means that any anti-russian sentiment in Moldova can only be the result of a plot of the EVIL WEST.

- Russia hates Poland with a vengeance. Has hated them since their rivalry in the Middle-Ages and hates them to this day. There is a russian conspiracy-theory that Poland engineered the Orange Revolution in Ukraine in 2014 100 years ago in order to destroy Russia.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has suggested that Moldova is the West's new "anti-Russian project." In an interview for Russian state television, he declared that the West had now "set its sights on the Republic of Moldova to have the role of the next Ukraine."

But in the wake of President Sandu's remarks, there have been several veiled warnings from Russian politicians close to Russian President Vladimir Putin, that joining NATO would be a sure way of destroying the state of Moldova.

Moreover, in a video conference with Russian politicians, Vitali Ignatiev, the so-called foreign minister of Transnistria, complained about "increased pressure" on the unrecognized republic due to the fact that the Moldovan army had expanded its defense capacities. He also said that there was increasing "repression of everything Russian" in Moldova. This is an argument typically used by Russian propagandists to justify military aggression against independent states, including Ukraine and Georgia.

Ramzan Kadyrov, the Kremlin-appointed leader of Chechnya, said on Monday that Poland is in his sights as the next country that Russia could "denazify and demilitarize" — the excuse Russia gave in justifying its invasion of Ukraine.

"What if, after the successful completion of the NMD, Russia begins to denazify and demilitarize the next country? After all, after Ukraine, Poland is on the map! I will not hide that I personally have such an intention," Kadyrov said on Telegram, according to a translation by the Daily Beast.

"I have repeatedly stated that the fight against Satanism should continue throughout Europe and, first of all, on the territory of Poland," he added.
