Kremlin to make draft permanent - Eastern Express - TVP WORLD

Edited to replace video which went private. - TxTRussia’s State Duma is considering a new law that would allow military commissariats to process young men for the draft year-round. They claim this will ease pressure on officials and make the system more predictable. Critics warn it’s really about giving the Kremlin more flexibility to wage war and silence dissent. If passed, the measure could lock Russia into a permanent state of mobilization, making everyday life even more uncertain for young men and their families.
