Two Russian Pilots Fatally Injured After Su-34 Ejector Seat Goes Off In Hanger - Suchomimus

Hello everyone. So I know you all like
seeing some Russian edi and I have a
good one for you here. Unfortunately new
video but fighter bomber a Russian
telegram page shared this information
today. It translates to saying that
yesterday in one of the bomber aviation
regiments the ejection seat system was
activated on an aircraft parked in a
shelter. Both the pilot and the
navigator died from their injuries. So
basically this means that a pair of
Russian pilots some managed to
accidentally trigger the injection seats
of their aircraft and died from their
injuries sustained during it. The
aircraft in question has since been
identified to be a Su34. Sadly no video
has been shared yet, just this post from
Telegram, but I imagine it look like
something like the ejector seat mission
from Hitman. Fighter bomber is typically
more reliable than the usual Russian
pages as these broke the news of a few
Russian aircraft losses which we
otherwise wouldn't have heard about. Not
much information is given though
including where it took place. Very
likely this would have occurred near
Ukraine though with a SU34 being
involved in operations there. Possibly
it's an air base which has constructed
new shelters to keep its aircraft in so
they're safe from Ukrainian drones. But
these new shelters clearly don't keep
the Russians safe from drunkenness
and/or Russian stupidity. Additionally,
the Su34 will be damaged by this. The
canopy of the su34 is going to be
destroyed by hitting the roof along with
Ivan and Vladimir. The seat itself will
of course need replacing and there's
potentially going to be some minor
structural damage to the airframe around
the seating area as a result of the
ejector seat charges going off as well.
So, not only has Russia lost two trained
pilots, they've also put a Su34 out of
action for a while as well. A photo of
the Su34 is on screen now. It's a
strike aircraft that entered service in
2014. These are often responsible for
the glide bombs that Russia launches
towards Ukraine. So, these are important
aircraft and the loss of a trained crew
for them is going to sting a bit.
Although, it's not going to sting as
much as the sting Captain Likov felt
when his head hit the hanger roof. I
guess Russia's lost a lot of these, 41
of all variants according to Orics and
they had 142 in service at the start of
the war, but since then they have had
additional batches of aircraft
delivered, estimated to be around 10 in
2024 and roughly the same amount in
2025. This isn't all I have for you
about idiocy involving Sue34 though.
Yesterday, this video was shared by
Belgorod in the photos as well where a
Sue34 pilot accidentally dropped a 1,000
pound glide bomb on Belgorod city. It
landed near a road and damaged a passing
truck. This isn't the first time that
Russia has accidentally bombed their own
cities and it won't be the last. So,
that's it for this video. Just a short
one here, but definitely worth a look
out for.

1. Heads would have rolled big time if this happened in the MAGs I served in.

We would have had non-stop FOD walks, tool box inspections, piss tests, cancelled 96 or 72s, demotions, not to mention investigations by respective unit QA, USMC IG, NAVAIRSYSCOM and JAG.

In the USAF community all kinds of theories would be thrown around.
In disgust, shock, upset.

Russians have notoriously high alcoholism rates. Could the pilot or navigator been drunk and hit the button by accident?
I would think there is a fail safe protocol for such an action?

Or maybe sabotage? Corruption with faulty parts?

Maybe Ukraine is gaining access to hangers?

3. Well the oligarch-owned aircraft companies have been cutting corners with regards of parts quality.

The same goes for the ground weapons.

4. Yes the corruption is rampant in Russia.

Same with China.

I heard some rumors online that it is doubtful there are actually nuclear warheads
on Russian nukes.

A Russian Army private is selling the tires off of Russian Army jeeps.
The sergeant hears about it and beats the holy heck out of the private.
The Sgt isn't mad that the private is selling jeep parts, he is mad that the private
didn't give him a cut of profits.


It could be Ukraine sabotage I suppose. Ukraine has accused Russian mechanics
of sabotaging some of the MIGs before they left Slovakia for the Ukraine.
But corruption is the most likely theory, along with Russian incompetence, and drunk pilot/nav.
