The United States has blockaded Venezuela under the direction of Donald Trump. The idea is to stop the transit of sanctioned oil tankers, and some have begun to speculate that this could mean war. But there's a few aspects here that most people seem to be missing. I put together the pieces here to lay out how likely a U.S. war with Venezuela really is in light of the overarching geopolitics that led us to this point, at this time.
