Donald Trump weighs in on Scotland vote — and Scotland weighs in on him
Tom Boggioni
19 Sep 2014

Donald Trump waded into the aftermath of the Scotland independence vote, tweeting that the secession vote may have failed due to “ugly wind turbines” built along the Scottish coastline.

Addressing Scottish National Party leader Alex Salmond –who announced this morning that he would step down after falling short of his goal of independence — Trump tweeted: “I am convinced that if @AlexSalmond had not pushed ugly wind turbines all over Scotland, the vote would have been much better for him!”

Trump’s antipathy towards wind power in Scotland stems from a lawsuit he lost in early 2014, failing to block the Scottish government from approving an offshore wind farm that he claimed would blight the view at his luxury Scottish golf course in Aberdeen. Following his courtroom loss, Trump canceled plans for an additional golf course in Scotland, instead purchasing Doonbeg Golf Club in Ireland.

~snip~

Trump’s observation was greeted with a torrent of colorful abuse, some of it in the creative style perfected by citizens of the (still) United Kingdom. We’ve sampled generously, and take heed: If you’re easily offended, go no further.

Oh, that waste of skin.

I really liked "mop-headed c--t."

Try as I might, seems I can't override auto correct on this one.

@realDonaldTrump @Badger5000 Trust Donald to find an angle so idiotic nobody else has thought of it. That is an achievement, of sorts.

Came to New York with a can-do attitude and his daddy's billions.

Seth MacFarlane had the best line at the roast of Donald Trump.

"Tonight we honor a self-made millionaire. He started with nothing, worked hard, and made a fortune. That man is Fred Trump, Donald's dad. That's right, for all his self-starter bullshit, he's basically Jaden Smith with a combover."

Edit:

Starts around the 2:50 mark.

Attach a wind turbine to his mouth and you could power all of Europe.

Trump - started on third, ran backwards to second, and claimed credit for a double.

"But please don't let us forget how we ended up having him in Scotland in the first place. Aberdeen Council refused planning permission for the Menie golf course and that should've been the end of that. The application was then called in by the Scottish Government. I recall Salmond spouting something like 'we have to show the world that Scotland is open for business'. Salmond fell hook line and sinker for the pie in the sky – the luxury hotel, a large housing development and thousands of jobs. Not only was planning permission granted, but Trump and his vile corporation were wined and dined and Trump was given an honorary doctorate (!). All this beggars belief and makes me wonder who the greater a…hole is in this sad saga.

Isn't he a super busy businessman? All his companies won't go bankrupt by themselves.
