Baku-APA. Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko said on Thursday the war in Ukraine will over when Donbass in back in Ukraine, APA reports quoting TASS.
"The war will be over only when Ukraine regains control of Donbass and Crimea. It will take as much time as it takes. The countrys territorial integrity must be priority number one. We will use every ways possible. We will be uncompromising on that matter," he told the Ukrainian STB television channel.
Crimea had a referendum on reunification with Russia on March 16, 2014. With a record-breaking turnout of 80%, the overwhelming majority of Crimeas and Sevastopol residents (96.7 and 95.6%, respectively) voted in favour of ceding from Ukraine and joining Russia. After the treaty of Crimeas and Sevastopols reunification with Russia was approved by the Russian parliament, President Vladimir Putin on March 21, 2014 signed a federal law on admitting two new constituent entities in the Russian Federation.
Despite the absolutely convincing results of the referendum, Kiev has been refusing to recognize Crimea as a part of Russia.
