Following is a letter to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, with a copy to U.S. Ambassador Samantha Power and the ADL, sent today by the Geneva-based non-governmental organization UN Watch.

UN Watch is gravely concerned that the UN’s special relief agency for Palestinians, which received some $400 million from the U.S. last year in exchange for its signed promise to refrain from supporting terrorism and to uphold neutrality, is nevertheless disseminating crude, anti-Semitic caricatures on the Internet that incite to the murder of Jews. We respectfully demand that you take action immediately to remove the images, apply accountability to the highest levels of UNRWA, and apologize....

UN Watch is a hasbara factory, and I'm not dumb enough to trust them without verification. Perhaps it's a fake, and that's why it was alerted?

Had UNRWA left the cartoons up on their Facebook for you to see personally, I believe you'd still be more upset at UNWATCH for reporting on it than with UNRWA's incitement to kill Jews. The question is why....

It was taken down after the UN Watch people wrote a letter to the UN about it and spread the word around social media.

No statement from UNRWA expressing outrage or disgust at these racist cartoons nor explaining that they took down the FB page immediately upon discovering its existence.

In fact there was no statement at all.

I don't know how, as I don't do much Facebook, but it would be nice to have some context to the cartoons. Right now, all we can do is speculate and draw our own farfetched conclusion.
