Wave of demolitions continues: children in al-Khdeirat community start school homeless

http://www.btselem.org/press_releases/20150531_al_khdeirat_demolitions

This morning, 31.8.2015, representatives of the Civil Administration and the military arrived at the Al-Khdeirat Bedouin community, which is east of route 60, between the Palestinian village al-Jaba' and the Israeli settlement Adam. The forces demolished around 25 structures, which serve 11 families for residential and other purposes. Around 100 persons were left homeless, including about 70 minors, some of whom began the school year a few days ago. The Al-Khdeirat community is home to around fifty families, numbering around 500 people.

This morning's operation is the culmination of a wave of demolitions by the Civil Administration during August, that totaled around 50 residential structures housing Palestinians in Area C. This figure is close to the entire number of residential structures demolished in the first half of 2015. B'Tselem is finalizing its research, and will publish full data in the coming days.

Imagine for a moment that this was happening in America; the ongoing wholesale ethnic cleansing of a people.

Now imagine if Americans were supporting it with their words, and actions.

It happens in Israel, and the USA turns a blind eye to it as 60,000 Americans take part in it by being part of the problem: illegal colonists in the West Bank.
